45001.JPG 159,379 bytes 1476x995 B&W 45001 stands at Birmingham New Street at the head of the 08.20 from York on 4/2/84. A slight wisp of steam escapes from the boiler safety valve. This was a regular turn for a steam-heated Peak, and always attracted a considerable number of bashers. Incidentally, this was shot on Ilford XP1 film, and is one of the few pictures I have on XP1 that uses its whole latitude. Most of the others are going to need reprinting on very hard paper before they'll be worth looking at! Nick Leverton - nleverton@cix.compulink.co.uk - leveret@warren.demon.co.uk
